#110. The tea from one of my performance reviews - For the high achievers and people who are chronically ill

A few days ago, I was going through my email when I came across my midyear and final year-end review from when in sales in corporate many, many years ago.

Before starting my own business, I spent over a dozen years in corporate, holding multiple positions for many companies.

Honestly, reading this performance review made me angry. Not because of the company or the manager who wrote it. It made me angry because it highlights everything wrong with being a high achiever with chronic illness working for a corporation.

This experience prompted me to make an episode about the review itself and the challenges I’ve faced as a high-performing employee with a chronic illness.

In this episode, I’ll share my midyear and final year-end review, my experiences in corporate, why I believe we are experiencing the great resignation, and how corporations can build better systems and a better work environment to help people with illnesses succeed in the workplace.
